The Ergathon: PCRA’s Fall Fundraiser!
Join us for our annual Fall fundraiser, the Ergathon!
Mark your calendars: the PCRA Ergathon is back! The Ergathon will be held at the Studio (89 Wolfs Ln. Pelham, NY) on November 11th from 8am - 10am.
Funds raised will go toward purchasing new equipment for the teams and supporting PCRA’s community mission, with an emphasis on our scholarship program. Some of the specific investment requests from the coaches include:
Four New Concept2 BikeErgs - $4,500
Sixteen New Concept2 Oars - $7,000
Alden Dockside Coaching Station - $1,000+
Three RP3 Rowing Machine + Tablet -$8,520
To support these purchases as well as our scholarship fund and essential dock maintenance, we need to reach our fundraising goal of $77,000.
How the Ergathon Works
We’ll gather as a team at 8am at the Studio. Teams will be assigned by coaches and will be a mix of athletes from the novice, varsity, development, and masters teams. Each crew of 4-6 rowers will share one erg and will row for 60 minutes, rotating turns at intervals of their choosing. The team with the most meters after 60 minutes wins and will receive a prize.
NEW THIS YEAR: Join our parents team! This year for the first time we are opening the ergathon up to a parents only team. If you are interested in joining, email us at admin@pcrarowing.com. No previous rowing experience required!
Athlete Fundraising
We are asking that all PCRA athletes set up a fundraising page at the link below to send out to family, friends, and fellow PCRA supporters to fundraise. If every athlete raises $600 we will reach our goals in no time! Athletes that do hit the $600 fundraising mark will receive a prize and the athlete with the highest amount raised on the boys, girls, masters, and development teams will receive and additional prize (prizes to be announced next week!).
