Masters Winter Training 2024 - 2025
Please join us for what promises to be a fun and challenging winter focusing on strength, flexibility and speed! Under the direction of Chris Ives, Co-Founder and Head Coach of EngineRm in NYC, the winter training sessions for adults will consist of a combination of erging, flexibility and strength training. The classes are designed to improve overall cardiovascular and muscular fitness, as well as improve rowing technique.
Never been in a rowing shell? No problem! Come discover a new way to get in shape during the long winter months. These classes are not designed like “Cross Fit” but rather are a coached, controlled way to improve your fitness with an eye on injury prevention. The indoor rowing machine offers the distinct advantage of working all major muscle groups at once, with a resistance intensity that can be controlled by the athlete.
Held in Pelham Community Rowing’s indoor rowing studio located at 89 Wolfs Lane, we offer a distinct opportunity for elite instruction, previously only available in New York City, to Pelham and surrounding areas.
Rowers of all abilities, aged 18 and up are welcome at any session. Individual and private group sessions can be arranged upon request. Email admin@pcrarowing.com to schedule private sessions.

Season Dates: December 3, 2024 - March 21, 2025
Practice Times: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday at 6:15am - 7am
A 7:15am - 8am option will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Minimum of four participants required to run the 7:15am - 8am session

Program Options:
Four/Five day Program - $655
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
NEW add in a weekly Pilates class for the duration of the Winter season for an additional $250. Only available for the four day program.
$905 total for the four day program with a weekly Pilates class
Two-day Program - $495
Two practices a week.
NEW add 6 Pilates classes to your winter training for an additional $125. Only available for the two day program.
$620 total for the two day program + 6 Pilates classes
Add an extra workout to your week with Pilates! In 2022 PCRA expanded to add on our Pilates Studio to our indoor training facility. We offer Pilates classes Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30am - 9:30am AND Wednesdays from 7am - 8am. This year, for our winter training we are offering a full 4 day or 2 day rowing program with the option to add a pilates class to your winter training program.
Taught by our Pilates instructor, Mary Anne Scrobe, our Pilates classes offer excellent cross training to strengthen your body and especially your core. Pilates is the perfect supplement for your rowing training!
Please note we cannot accommodate different combinations of the rowing programs and Pilates offerings (i.e. Four Day program + 6 Pilates classes or Two Day program + weekly Pilates classes). Pilates classes will follow the same season date schedule as the rowing program.
